Description: I was inspired to create this painting because I wanted to convey the feeling we experience when receiving a love letter in the mail. Now a day everyone emails each other, or texts instead of communicating through the lost art of a handwritten letter. There is something about our penmanship that carries a romance and intimacy which no other form of communication can quite compare too. In this digital online social networking age of communicating, we can forget how beautiful and personal it is when deciding to take the time to put the pen to the paper. This painting represents the intimacy which takes place when expressing ourselves through a pen rather than a keyboard.
