Miles Davis Blue Jazz Painting by Artist Bryan Boutwell

Miles Davis Blue Jazz Painting by Artist Bryan Boutwell is a 6FT x 6FT abstract painting on canvas, McLoughlin Art Gallery San Francisco, Available For Purchase

Miles Davis Blue Jazz Painting by artist Bryan Boutwell.  I wanted to create a large scale 6FT x 6FT painting of my all time favorite Jazz musician 'Miles Davis'. I used a mixture of silhouette and abstract in order to show his image and the feeling that his Jazz creates in me while I listen to it. I used both oil and acrylic in the process of this painting to create a depth unachievable by the use of just one medium. This painting is currently available for purchase at The McLoughlin Art Gallery located at 49 Geary St.

Golden Gate Bridge Commission Painting by Bryan Boutwell

Golden Gate Bridge Painting by artist Bryan Boutwell, San Francisco, Russian Hill neighborhood,

Iconic San Fran is the title of this abstract painting of the Golden Gate Bridge created by artist Bryan Boutwell. I was commissioned to paint a large scale abstract of the Golden Gate Bridge for a client in the Russian Hill neighborhood in San Francisco. I built a diptych style painting that measured 8FT x 4FT. I first built the 2 custom stretchers and then stretched canvas over them as the medium. I wanted to create geometric shapes that interlocked like puzzle pieces, the way a bridge locks 2 separate pieces of land into one.

Installed Lights Into My TurnTable Sculpture

TurnTable Art, turntable sculpture, urban sculpture, music sculpture, music art, by artist Bryan Boutwell

Deciding to install L.E.D. white wire lights into my turn table sculpture was a challenge but I'm excited that I did.  This piece is titled "House Hold Music". My goal was to create depth and an ambiance that presented this art in a dramatic way. The shadows that fall between the grooves and around the edges of the turn table truly brings the work to life. I used the parts of 15 different house hold appliances when building this sculpture.

The Intervention of an Inhaler

Funny Art instillation, humorous art instillation, using inhalers as a parody of an intervention, Bryan Matthew Boutwell, Live Fiction

Title: The Intervention of an Inhaler ( humorous art instillation by Bryan Matthew Boutwell ) Description: I saved all my used Asthma inhalers from over the years just incase I wanted to make a sculpture or instillation out of them one day. Well this day came. I wanted to create a humorous art instillation that conveyed a feeling of irony. My own life as a recovering addict also played a part in the inspiration for it.
