Description: I was inspired to create this painting because I wanted to convey the moods and feelings that occur after receiving a love letter in the mail, left on a dresser top for us to find, or even one left in lip stick on a mirror. Now a days it seems that everyone emails each other or texts instead of actually hand writing out letters. There is something about a handwritten letter that carries a romance and intimacy which no other form of communication can quite compare too. In this digital online social networking age of communicating, we can forget how beautiful and personal it is when deciding to take the time to put the pen to the paper. This painting represents the personal touch that only literal touch can offer.
