Title: Cinderella At 11:59 (Photography-Photoshop Digital Art-Canon EOS T3i. – Location: Highland Forrest-Fabius NY.) I wanted to create a photo that conveyed both the hope and fear that time can present. In this case I chose to do a series based around the concept of the modern day fairytale. I wanted to create a photograph that showed an abundance of contrast, both in the literal and surreal sense. The last bit of sunlight in the photo beaming down upon Cinderella at 11:59 represents that her hope and the light in her life is still present and with her. However the darkness that looms in every other part of the photograph represents the fear that is settling all around. Will she find what she is looking for in time? Like life, we are all subject to the timing of events. Our hopes and dreams although bright and filled with wonder are usually also surrounded by fear and possible failure. The more we dream the deeper the pain can occur. The black mask on Cinderella represents her hidden fear, where the white brightly whitened gown represents her dream. I am routing for her and hope that she gets what she is waiting for.
