Title: Intimate (Photography-.35mm Pentax K-1000-Photoshop C.S.6-Digital Art) Location:Green St. Syracuse NY.
DESCRIPTION: I captured this photo because I have a small obsession with doors and doorways. When I came upon this decapitated and abandoned home, I knew that it screamed for an appreciated attention. This door was the definition of personification. I believe the truly best photos are the ones that need no editing after the fact. This was one of those photos. The door handle was deceivingly archaic. I could tell that it was exquisite when new, but through its years of aging it had gained a sense of character that only the aging process can give. I felt like there was a story behind every chipped flake of paint. This door had seen it all. It was a warrior that had battled many NY winters and was still standing brave as ever. There is something so classy, so resilient, and so timeless about this photo. I was blessed to have had the chance to meet its acquaintance.
