Title: Siamese Twins (Photography-.35mm Pentax K-1000-Photoshop C.S.6) Location: Green St. Syracuse NY.
DESCRIPTION: I captured this photo outside the sober-living home which I spent 5 months in after graduating from a drug rehab. There was an old man and his dog that hung around this street I lived on. They were always together. They were as connected as a pet and pet owner can be. They were the most unique pet and pet owner team that I'd ever seen, and probably ever will. They say that people who own pets start to look like the pet they own after awhile. After seeing this pair, I no longer had doubts about that statement. I caught them on a perfectly windy day, which emphasized both sets of their white hair. In this photo it's challenging to tell where each of their hair stops and where the others begins. They were so committed to one another. There was a visually striking bond between them that is rarely found, and even rarer to capture. I smile every time I see this photo. Companionship is one of the most important parts of life, whether human or animal. It's what makes this life tollerable at times. It was awesome being able to capture it without having to set up a planned shot in order to get it.
