October 30th 2015 was Opening Night at White Walls Gallery, 886 Geary St. San Francisco CA; featuring the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Competition. 30 Pieces of art had been chosen from the Northern California region for this Semi-Finalist Round. The show stay packed from start to finish. Conversation between artists flowed as much as the bartenders pouring drinks. Patrons, photographers, writers, gallery owners, and cocktail waiters swarmed between the front room of the gallery and back. I felt honored to be showing my sculpture 'HouseHold Music' and enjoyed the fact that it was hanging next to so many other amazing pieces of art on the wall. As artists we thrive off being able to explain our process, because in our explanations we are able to reveal who we are and what we believe in. We spend most of our time alone while creating, isolated from the opinions of others, and in our own worlds. The opening nights are what finally give us the opportunity to voice our truths. - Artist Bryan Boutwell
